Being Kind during the Holidays?

Merlijn Wolsink - Kindness Holiday SeasonHoliday Season! Yay!
Happy times for many and not so happy times for others.

I wonder what is possible if you would have a sweet and delicate look at what you would like to create this month?
Here are some things to ponder…

What would the Holiday Season be like if you would…

– be with people you totally enjoy hanging out with?
– give yourself and your body -more- choice?
– truly enjoy every bite of food you eat?
– know it when your body has had enough food?
– choose to be with yourself for a bit if you would like to?
– know that choosing for you does not have to mean you are choosing against others?
– have a look at the ‘ have-to’s ‘ and things you usually do to please others?
– choose to enjoy the ‘ have-to’s ‘ if you are going to do them anyway?
– keep on ‘returning to sender’ all the holiday stress you are picking up from others?
– know and expand your own space, energy and lightness?
– reach out to others your self when you are lost in your own space?
– be present in every moment?
– be kind to you?
– be kind to your body?
– be kind to others?
– be in harmony with yourself, your body and your surroundings?

What would you like your holiday season to be like…?
What an amazing holiday season is truly possible?

What is True Kindness?

Merlijn Wolsink - What is True Kindness?Do you remember what true Kindness is?
Do you remember when you were a little baby?
Or other baby’s that are just being their own ‘little’ selves?
One of a Kind?

Are you one of a Kind? Is everyone one of a kind?
How many people are truly kind to themselves?

I know this: what’s true to you is and feels ‘LIGHT’.
What’s not true to you is and feels ‘HEAVY’. It does not resonate with your true , authentic being.

Heavy is mostly how we have learned to be, learned to adapt, blend in, don’t just be outstanding and authentic. Basically, learning yourself to be unkind to you, so you fit in with the rest.

Have you noticed most people don’t even have a sense of what is true for them and just sorta roll along with everyone else’s opinion?
How many people actually have a sense of what their own true being is like? Let alone true kindness… and their own true ‘kind’…

I don’t mean ‘own true kind’ as a way to separate from others, or to fix yourself into a conclusion of who you are, like “I am what I am.”
I mean acknowledging your own true Being. Do we even still know what that is?

Most of the time, ‘being kind’ to other people, is being or doing exactly what people can receive or are asking for. On THAT very moment. If they are patterned and used to unkindness, being everything they grew up with that is not truly them, they will most likely not be able to receive something else that resonates with their own true kindness, their true being.
They might not even be aware of the reality that they are the ones that Invite kindness or unkindness into their world… Inviting what is true for them, or what is not true for them.

Thats what I enjoy about babies. Even though they come in with their psychologic backpack, they are  not yet molested and broken by the cruelty and unkindness of this reality. They don’t function from the judgments of what right and wrong and they will start protesting intuitively when you are doing or being something that is not truly ‘kind’ in essence. They ARE. Being themselves.

Nature is even more extreme in that sense. If you pull the grass out of he ground it will grow itself back eventually. It does not have an opinion, though it has consciousness that automatically creates from true kindness. Animals just walk away from you when you are being unkind to yourself. They might come back and sit on your lap when you are being true to yourself, when you are not surrounding yourself in ‘judgment clouds’.

I wonder if Kindness is actually and endlessly, even expanding light possibility of Being Yourself?

If you were being Kind to You, what would it be like?
If you were being Kind to others, what would it be like?

Kindness is Magic…

Merlijn Wolsink - KindnessAmsterdam Central Station. The energy can be intense, heavy, chemical and all senses kinda get amplified over there. I tell ya, Amsterdam Central Station can be one happy place… Mostly not. Lol.
Anyways…

“Can I have a coffee please?” “Black… sir…?” “Yes please.”

I noticed that the lady that was serving me had a super heavy “Oh dear… I hope I didn’t say anything wrong…?” energy around her. Don’t we all know that one? I played with it a bit to see if I could get through the heavy stuff, that she most likely picked up or got dumped onto her while working over there. I figured, when she is so aware of the heavy, she might pick up some lightness too

I just looked at her and gently smiled, did not say a word, although I thought to her “Hi sweetness. How are you today?” When she finished making my coffee she looked up, stared me in the eyes, looked confused and got a bit uncomfortable. Then the heaviness broke away. She lit up, her eyes opened up and swelled up a bit. She sighed, smiled and handed me my coffee. “Thank you.”

When I sneaked by and looked back inside 5 minutes later, she actually stood up straight and still smiled while making coffee. That made my day, or evening at that point.

Some other people might have thought “What the f*** are you looking at?!? Do you wanna f*** me or something? Am I wearing something you own?”

Sometimes it takes courage to get up and live in a reality that can be so unkind, Sometimes, everywhere you look people will reject you, reject themselves or have their barriers up. Those wall can be so thick that it seems hard to see the kindness and sweetness that IS there too. Everywhere…

And, your true, natural kindness creates magic everywhere you go…

Thank you sweet coffee lady. For receiving me, my crazy smile AND for receiving your own smile.
How does it get even better?
